about

Ember Oceans is creating a colorful synth-rock sound in Chicagoland, blending the raw indie energy of the Midwest with the reflective detail of modern pop. For five years, the group has cut their teeth developing a bold voice that demands attention. Now they are ready to bite, bringing their Sleepwalk EP ahead of their debut album this fall.

Each track features lavish production value from lead singer Freddy Tyler Paul, whose vocals are dense and daringly theatrical. The band brings unexpected twists throughout while experimenting with the conventions of their peers. Although distinctive in style, their sound is surprisingly addictive and equally amusing.

Recent single, “Rare Candy”, is a spectacle of disco-infused alternative pop that paints in bold colors. Referencing the infamous New York nightclub scene of the late 70’s, the tune sets a hazy technicolor scene worth exploring.

Let your expectations out the window with Ember Oceans.
